The study focuses on mastering the most modern computational and experimental methods in the scientific field of mechanics of bodies.
In the computational area, students are given detailed information on the theoretical part as well as the practical use of MKP in application on static and dynamic rigidity calculations including nonlinear, stability and non-stationary problems. In addition, the theoretical background of mechanics learnt in the first study period, has been significantly extended. Another important area of study includes evaluation of durability and operational reliability or computational and experimental modelling of dynamic properties and machine system behaviour.
In the field of experimental mechanics, students can use a laboratory, which is a shared by the institute and the HBM company - a significant producer of measuring technology. Correspondingly, there is the latest, continuously supplemented, equipment.
